Great work man, I've read maybe 10 books this year. Wish I had the time and discipline for more.
How are the Sharpe books? I love Cornwell's Saxon Stories, Warlord Trilogy, and Archer's Tale books.
The Sharpe books are great, but the older ones far outclass the newer ones with but a few exceptions. The India Trilogy are fantastic reads. That and Sgt. Hakeswill is probably my favorite literary villain of all time, and he pops up quite a bit more in the newer tales. I'm reading those in Chronological order, not in the order they were released. They do get a bit repetitive, but I've done a pretty good job of not letting too many of them lump up together.
Last year I only managed about 100, but I read a lot more non fiction books. This year I'm reading more Popcorn books, but I've also made a specific change in my life. I quit playing World of Warcraft!
So now I'm going to try and finish off all the series's that I've been reading and then read some more Non Fiction, I'm working on the Abridged Mahabharata now, which is about 900 pages.. It's highly enlightening to contrast it to the European mythologies of Greece and Scandinavia and the Baltic/Slavic areas.. especially if you have any interest in comparative mythology.
